Vaanasundraswarar Temple, Manampathy, Uthiramerur, Kanchipuram
Vaanasundraswarar Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located at Manampathy in Uthiramerur Taluk of Kanchipuram District. Presiding Deity is called as Vaanasundraswarar and Thayaar is called as Periyanayaki.








This Chola temple is more than 1200 years old with a rich history behind it. The village was called Vanavan Madevi Easwaram in the name of Raja Raja’s mother and became Manampathy later.










Manampathy village is located south side of Kanchipuram at a distance of 27 kms and from Uthiramerur about 14 kms and 94 Kms from Chennai. Manampathy village road can be accessed from Chengalpattu – Vandavasi Main Road and from Kanchipuram – Vandavasi Main Road.
