Kathirikkai Falls is at, elevation 2,270 metres (7,450 ft). There is small pool above this 50 m (160 ft) waterfall just southwest of the Kodaikanal–Munnar Road crossing the Kathirikkai Odai (the Second Trout Stream) 2.2 kilometers (1.4 mi) west of the Forest Dept Hut.
Considered to be an ideal location for nature lovers, this falls is 160 ft high. Owing to the presence of various minerals in the water of this fall, taking a bath in this fall is refreshing.


It has a slanting height and lies inside a forest reserve that is unhindered by human encroachments. It is quiet, peaceful and a true haven for those who want to escape from concrete forest parks.
